Our Work
Nanoparticles
Nanoparticle (1-100 nm) Size Relationship to Other Biological and Non-biological Particles
Several kinds of nanoparticles are currently being used to therapeutically target diseased tissues (e.g., with payloads of medicine), and to enhance imaging technologies (to better view structures within the body). Because of the extremely small size of these nanoparticles, they can pass through small blood vessels and penetrate cell membranes. From FASEB’s Horizons in Bioscience series
