Johns Hopkins Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology needed an identity for its clinical and research work. The basic layout of the digestive system was used as the base, including all of the specialties of the division. In order to visualize the distinguished history of the division, the illustration was adapted to fit within the format of a shield.
